not quite what i expected

helpful staffgeothermal plantuncomfortable heat
the staff was accommodating and helpful . the rooms were also quiet.
i was disappointed to see a large geothermal plant right next to the hotel. the lack of control over the room temperature was also a problem. the room was uncomfortably hot, even with the window open.

Perfect spot near the Blue Lagoon!

I loved that my room was available early. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room felt spacious! The included amenities like coffee, tea, and sodas were a plus. I also appreciate the free shuttle to the Blue Lagoon, that was AMAZING!!!
The geothermal plant next door was a bit of a surprise. The lights were on at all times. The Icelandic darkness I was looking for was affected by the power plant.

adequate stay near blue lagoon

I appreciated the free shuttle service. it was useful for getting to the blue lagoon. the staff was helpful. max's restaurant offered tasty dishes. I especially liked the fish of the day.
my room felt a bit dated and not very soundproof. there was a faint odor of old plumbing, noticeable. the breakfast buffet was underwhelming, not very special at all, and didn't meet my expectations.
